Locate the "My Computer" icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

First we need to clean your computer from the various installations you mentioned you have done.  If none of them were correct then it will make it very difficult to install again.  So lets clean you system so we can install with little effort.

Step 1

Go to Start, choose Control Panel, then choose Add or Remove Programs.

Double click on the icon next to "Add or Remove Programs"

Scroll down and look for the purple puzzle piece icon with the program name called Imagine Pro 7 program (Exterior), (Landscape) or (Interior) Highlight that program, then click the Change/Remove box located to the right of the program name.

Next, once you have clicked the "Change/Remove button a new dialog box appears, which says in Bold "Select Uninstall Method".  Choose "Automatic". And click "next'

The next dialog box asks if you would like to perform a rollback.  Click "yes". Then click "next."

Now click "Finish".

A dialog box again appears which asks if you want to remove shared components, click "Yes to all".

Once this has finished, you should not see Imagine Pro 7 in this list of software programs.

Now lets download the file again......instead of using the CD-ROM back-up to install it-lets install from the download.

Go back to the download file you save on your computer.

We urge users to use an unzipping software when they download the file.  As you may have realized it is 191MB large.  It is nearly impossible for you to download all those files without it being “wrapped” properly.  This wrapping program allows the entire file to be downloaded with no errors or problems.  Once it arrives on your desk top normally you would double click on the file – your unzipping software would open it would find the file and unzip and install the software for you. It is a flawless operation.  However, In this case you do not have unzipping software so there are a couple options -choose the easiest for you.

•     Option 1

Download the free evaluation version of winzip located at http://www.winzip.com/downwzeval.htm  select the red button that says “Try Winzip 10.0” download the software, then allow winzip to find Zip_Exterior.zip file for you.  Let it unzip and then install the program.  Once it is installed and completed you can run the software from your hard drive.  The error message you are receiving means it was not installed correctly. You can also go to the web site FAQ and get the same answers.   http://www.visapp.com/FAQ.htm click the first link.

•     Option 2

Go to the new downloaded zipped file which is located in your "download" folder. It is called zip_Exterior.zip, zip_landscape.zip or zip_interior.zip right click on it and select “Extract All”  you should have a dialog box for the Windows extraction wizard click next, select a location to install the program to (we suggest it go onto your C or main drive), then select next, the extraction process will occur, then Click “show extracted file’ and finish.

The folder will open with all the files that were in the zipped file you downloaded.  Now inside this new folder with the extracted files you will find a file called “setup” double click the setup file, next you will be asked if you would like to “run” the common installation process, say "Run" then the normal process will occur again.  Make sure you are installing your software on the proper C drive. This time the program is actually installing onto your hard drive. Click Next, Agree, Next, Next etc until you are finished.

Register your program.

"You cannot install this VB5 application without the latest service pack first being installed on this computer. Please install the latest NT service pack and rerun this installation."

This download replaces installing the setup from the CD. You will still be required to have the Ultimate CD in your CD-ROM drive when running the software application.

Recommended if you are behind a firewall or on a proxy server. If you are unsure, please see your network administrator.

  1. Click the DOWNLOAD button below and select SAVE this program to disk.

SAVING the FILE

Click the download link from Share-it.

Select “Save”

We suggest you place the download file into your “download” folder which is located in your Documents and Settings Folder.  If necessary, create a new folder called “Download” and place the zip_landscape.zip, zip_exterior.zip or zip_interior.zip file into that new created folder.

Normally it should take 10-25 minutes on a cable modem to download the file.  If it is quicker than the average time, you probably didn’t download the entire file. Remember, if you are disconnected before download has completed you must delete the file from your computer and begin the download process again.

  The file sizes are;

Landscape & Outdoor Living 191MB-

Exterior Building & Remodeling 221MB -

Interior Remodeling & Design 152MB -

 AFTER THE DOWNLOAD

5) Go to File, select "Personal Image Builder"

6) Under this new image builder dialog box, Type in the new Window Name ( whatever you want to call it) under "Name"

7) Create a new Category if you want to, in this case we already have a window category ready with one window in it, so lets just put the new window into the window category.

8)If you want the window to be scaled for other projects type in the window height in the "Scale in inches box."

9) click "Save" and your new outlined window should be in the Windows category database.  Use the right arrow to find the new window you put in the database.

Answer:
The error you are getting is the WinHelp32 error. There is a program that is conflicting with our software. Most commonly, it is the 32 bit driver for the IntelliPoint, IntelliType or Easy Ball mouse by Microsoft. Unless you are using the advanced features of this particular mouse, the 32 bit driver is not necessary. If POINT32. is removed from the windows start menu, you will be able to run the on line help and the Quick tour Videos.

To check if you have this software and temporarily remove this driver software, follow these steps…

  • Restart your computer
  • Press Ctrl, Alt & Delete at the same time
  • Check for the listing Point32
  • Click on Point32 and click the End Task Button
  • Close the Program box and Start your Imagine software and run the Quick Tour Videos.

If this allows you to run the Quick Tour Videos and access the On-Line Help, then you may want to contact Microsoft for the driver software update. You can e-mail us and we can give you the information on getting the mouse driver update.

If you do not have this mouse application and you are still experiencing this problem, you will need to check for other 32 bit programs running. You can check this by pressing Ctrl, Alt, Delete and highlight any program ending in 32 and end the task. The 32 bit program will be in the format of the program name followed by the number 32 (for example Point32).

After removing this program, you should be able to run the Quick Tour Videos and access the on-line help manual. There are some known programs that interfere with the installation and/or running of our software. The programs are any version of Omni Page Pro, (including the Limited versions), all versions of First Aid and McAfee V-Shield. These programs need to be disabled before installation of our software. If you have any additional problems, call Technical Support.

Answer:

Imagine Pro software can accept graphics images from other programs or devices. To open an image select; Import. You can export a Imagine project in a graphics file format for use in other programs. Image files are one layer, so if you Export instead of Save a Project, you will glue all the objects on your fixed image. You would normally Export to send a picture of your project to another program. You would Import to bring in an image from another program. You Import scanned or digitized images.

Answer:

Photographs must be scanned or digitized as files before being loaded into your computer. There are several hardware devices that enable you to take a photo and transfer it into your computer. These include: scanners, digital cameras, and devices that connect your camcorder to your computer.

If you have a scanner, you can scan your photographs directly into your computer as files. If you have a digital camera, you can digitize the photo through a cable into the computer as a file. If you have a camcorder, there are hardware devices that hook to your computer to send an image frame from the camcorder into the computer as a file.

Answer:

Click the Open from Scanner/Camera icon on the toolbar or go to Open from Scanner/Camera on the File menu. Refer to your scanner user's manual to proceed with the scanning process. Your scanning software is where you'll set the size of your image (not in the Imagine software). Some experimentation may be required to get your image the proper size but two factors most impact the size of your scanned image:

DPI (Dots Per Inch) - Houses should be scanned at 100 dpi for best results. Anything higher usually results in an image larger than your screen and will be memory intensive.

When you have finished scanning, the image appears on the screen as a new project. You are now ready to work on the image. For further information about scanning, go to the Help Menu, select Index.
